1983 Daytona 500

This got me back interested in NASCAR
Before this I was an avid F1 fan.
Loved the in car cameras which were something very new at the time.
Seeing Cale win the race and say in car "we got it boys" was fantastic!!!
Also seeing Richard AND Kyle take the lead at times was great!!!
Geoff Bodine HAD hair and Sterlin Marlin DID NOT ..go figure!!
Mark Martin is the only driver in this race that is still racing!!!!
27 years GO MARK!!!!

Rudd wins at the Glen in 88.

My first trip to a NASCAR race and what a great finish it was!!!
My memories.....great London Broil sandwiches and fruit smoothies!!
Watched Benny Parsons car catch on fire and park near me by the bridge walkway....he went on the radio right after he got out and said "wow those things are scary when they are on fire!!!"
Richard Petty with rag in the mouth.
He was running in the top ten till the last few laps(you can see him fade back in this video).
After the race I saw Linda and 2 of his girls.....One of the girls asked her what happened to daddy??? and Linda said "oh he had a tire equalize...."

Larry King Says "SO LONG"

Great final show last night but sad to see the era ending....makes one feel older.
I liked the banter between Barbara Walters and the NBC news anchor!
Also Katy's poem was perfect.
I wish Larry had mentioned and thanked Ted Turner though.

The final "SO LONG" then the lights came off Larry...then the old microphone went bright white then gradually faded to normal color....all perfect.

Downtown Portland Oregon Tour (Just a little bit of it)

Just like being there with nice music!!

Landing At Portland Airport "be kind to one another"

Good video showing the Portland area on a Southwest flight.

How to win Darlington on PSP NASCAR game

I go with the default setups in rookie mode.
In turn one let off the gas just as you enter the corner then reapply as the car sets..no brakes.
In turn 3 apply the brakes for about half a second then coast thru the center of the corner and mash the gas as the car takes a bite.

So Long Larry King

This is the last week for Larry King's show and made me think of when I first heard of Larry King. The first time was when he was an analyst on the NFL pre game shows.
Later I could get his show on the local radio and listened to him interview some great people like Mel Torme and Kenny Rankin(both sadly gone).
I swear one night I heard him snoring just for a few seconds.
Then around 1988 his television show was available on our local cable package.
From then on 900 to 1000 was reserved for Larry.
Larry was one of Ted Turner's ideas (one of many great ones he had for CNN).
Thinking back when you wanted real news you always went to CNN and knew Larry would cover it thru his show(eg. the OJ chase).
However now for breaking news the internet is the place to go....so maybe this marks the end of the CNN era of news covering.
With modern technolgy there is no reason Larry could not have his own show on U stream or whatever just as we all could. so we may not have seen the last of the King!!!!

How to Win at PSP NASCAR game

Try to buy a team as quickly as possible.
You make far more form the sponsorship and hat sales etc.
Do not waste time taking a ride with an uncompetitive team!

Fly by of Seattle

Great video showing all the Seattle area...can you pick out Gate's place????

How to win at NASCAR PSP game

If you pit at the halfway point you benefit in 3 ways:

1. You can drive hard and not worry about tires and fuel thereby giving your self some kind of lead.
2. You avoid other cars in the pits when they all pit together.
3. In rookie mode the competitors never take advantage of the yellow flag to pit so you can be assured that they will pit under the green light which means they will not catch you if a yellow comes out

bracket orders when trading stocks

Bracket orders are designed to help limit your loss and lock in a profit by "bracketing" an order with two opposite-side orders. A BUY order is bracketed by a high-side sell limit order and a low-side sell stop order. A SELL order is bracketed by a high-side buy stop order and a low side buy limit order.

The order quantity for the high and low side bracket orders matches the original order quantity. By default, the bracket order is offset from the current price by 1.0. This offset amount can be changed on the order line for a specific order, or modified at the default level for an instrument, contract or strategy using the Order Presets feature in Global Configuration.

bounce rate

Personally I would consider anything below 30% for the homepage to be acceptable. For other pages this can vary widely depending upon the purpose of the page (informational, lead generation, tool, link page) and also the traffic that you are sending to each page. Try to focus on one or 2 pages at a time in terms of bounce rate instead of a site wide percetnage as this can be very misleading. Look for the high bounce rate pages and try to reduce them, look at the low bounce rate pages and learn why they cause people to continue though your site.
